What is lactose intolerance?

Lactose intolerance is the inability to digest lactose, a natural sugar found in milk and dairy products.

What are the symptoms of lactose intolerance?

If you are lactose intolerant, you will experience symptoms such as bloating, stomach cramps, diarrhoea, excess gas or nausea 20 minutes to one hour after consuming dairy.

How many Lacto-Free® tablets should I take if I am lactose intolerant?

Most people will require 2 tablets before consuming dairy. However for people who are mildly lactose intolerant, 1 table should be sufficient. Everybody has a different level of lactose intolerance, so it is a matter of trial and error to find the right dose for you.

When should Lacto-Free® be taken? Before food or with food and if before how soon before?

It is best to take Lacto-Free® just before consuming dairy, ideally 5 minutes beforehand.

I’m having trouble getting the tablets out of the dispenser, what should I do?

The convenient dispenser is designed so that only one tablet comes out at a time. If one does not come out upon first attempt, simply shake the dispenser and try again.

If I forget to take the tablet, can I still take it after I have eaten? What effect will this have?

Yes, you can still take Lacto-Free® after you have consumed dairy. It will still help break down the lactose in the dairy you have consumed.

Does Lacto-Free® require refrigeration or need to be kept at a specific temperature?

No, Lacto-Free® can be stored at room temperature below 25 degrees.
